I went to the eye doctor today. Things ended up a little differently than I thought they would. Let's go back to the beginning.
I have an Anterior Basement Membrane Dystrophy, otherwise known as a map dot fingerprint dystrophy, in my right eye. It's placement is almost right over my pupil. I will have surgery on Tuesday Feb 3 to have it removed. It is a simple in room surgery. Just some numbing drops in my eye and then the scraping. I don't think it will take 15 minutes once he walks in the room. LOL
Steve got his work schedule changed so he can stay home with me that day. I'm glad, because I really don't think I am going to feel like doing anything. Lucky for me, I had already taken that Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday off (with pay) for a little mini vacation.
Any thoughts and well wishes would be greatly appreciated and welcomed.

Your *scraping* description doesn't sound nice. But I know those numbing drops really work, so I hope the recovery will be pain free as well. And I hope it doesn't affect your stitching for very long!
It is going to be fine. We will keep you in our prayers! And soon you will be stitching away!
You will want to have some good pain meds afterward. I am afraid that eye "scraping" is a bit painful for a few days but then it heals really fast.
Good luck and I hope it fixes your problems.

Sorry that you'll have to have eye surgery. Hopefully, it won't give you much pain afterwards. I'll be sending positive thoughts your way.
Many Hugs,

Wishing you all the best.
Will keep you in my thoughts on that day for sure.
What a way to spend your vacation; NOT! At least hubby will be with you that day and you have some days to rest and let things heal. Think of all the time you will have after all is said and done to stitch stitch stitch!
Good luck with your surgery and we will be here with you for your healing process!
I really hope it is as pain free as can be and hope it doesn't interfere with your stitching time too much. Love Patti xxx
So sorry to hear that! I hope you have a speedy recovery!
Goodness, wishing you all the best! What is the recovery time?
Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
Sorry about the surgery, but I hope it is a fast recovery and takes care of the issue!
Ouch. Sorry to hear about this. No matter how "simple" the precedure is it's still scary. I will be thinking of you and hope you recover painfree quickly.
Sending happy thoughts and blessings to you.
All the best to you, and prayers for a quick recovery.
What a way for Mom to find out. What is the recovery time for this? Do you need / want me there?
I hope everything will go well for the surgery ;-)I keep my finger crossed ;-)
Hi BW. I wouldn't worry too much about it.You will be fine. It is a fairly simple proceedure and you will be up and stitching in no time. Just take it easy afterwards. And bring sunglasses. They will put a patch over your eye but the other one will be so sensitive that you will need them
Good luck with your surgery, and have a speedy recovery.
That's a little scary, hon. I hope the surgery goes well. Kepp up updated. ***hugs***

You have a lovely blog.
Lovely stitching.
Hope all went well with your surgery. A year or so ago I had cataract and lens implant surgery. Piece of cake! Good luck.
