On Monday, we are going to have to put Angel down. She is suffering from congestive heart failure and is not responding to the medication as she should. We could tap her stomach to relieve it of fluid but that would only buy us a month or so. We have decided to spend the weekend babying her and have her euthanized on Monday.
Alex didn't get to say goodbye to Shady when we lost him, so this time we are making sure he has the option of being there and saying goodbye if he wants to.
Angel has had a good thirteen years with us and she will be greatly missed.

I feel so sorry for you and your family. Loosing a pet is not easy. But you're decision to let go is a right one even when it hurts. Wishing you lots of strength
I am so sorry about Angel. Even when you know it's coming, it's not easy. I wish you all a good weekend and peace and comfort on Monday. Always remember that this is the hardest part of being a pet owner, but it's our most important job, and we can't let them down when they need us most.
I am so sorry to hear this news. ***hugs***

I am so sorry. You have made a very wise but hard decision and my heart goes out to you. I have been there several times and know it is not easy.
13 years is a long time for a dog but those should live as long as humans... (((((((((((hugs))))))))))
I am so sorry for you and your family. Losing a pet is really hard. My sister lost her bird a few weeks ago and was devastated.

Rainbow Bridge:
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

So sorry to hear your sad news. Sending thoughts and prayers your way.
Sorry to hear that. I just recently had to put my cat down and no matter how right the decision is, it is still a difficult one! At least you get to say your goodbyes!
((((((hugs for you and family))))))))
My heart is breaking for you. Even though it is the right thing to do and Angel will no longer be uncomfortable it is a very heard thing to do. I know since I have been there too. I know the pain you are going through. Take care and try to remember the love she brought ot her life. You are now
returning it to her by bringing her peace. She will be waiting.
Your Angel looks exactly like our Pepper - even the grey nose. We had to put Pepper down 2 years ago; my heart knows yours. Pain, but immense love, and knowing you're doing what's right. I know you'll treasure this coming weekend.
I am so sorry. I can't imagine your pain.
I went through that with our lady who looked a great deal like your dog. She was lab and golden retriever and was 17 years old when we had to put her down. I know what you all are going through. With that said your tagged please see my blog for details when you feel up to it.
Sorry to read. We have one older dog, too & that day will be here soon for our Beatrice.
Hang in there.
